PRACTICE RECAP

Two important practice sessions for the team to fine-tune the R&J Batteries Supercar before the Top Ten Shootout and the Great Race. The team had to have one eye on single lap pace and the other on setting everything up perfectly for 161 laps tomorrow. Thomas Randle showed his speed in the early morning co-driver session, clocking the 2nd fastest time and happy with car #8's balance. The final practice session featured both drivers and gave the team an opportunity to practice pitstops - with refueling and driver changes. All in all it was a productive couple of practice sessions and the R&J Batteries Supercar was ready for a crack at the Top Ten Shootout.

TOP TEN SHOOTOUT RECAP

Nick was first out in the shootout and the car was visibly on the limit as he flew across the top of the mountain, just centimetres from the wall. It was a sensational lap that grabbed p4 for the R&J Batteries team and Nick's best ever Bathurst starting position.

THE WORD FROM NICK
"Stoked with that lap and starting on the second row of the grid. It's my fastest ever lap I've done here at the mountain so I couldn't ask for anything more than that. Thank you to my engineer AE (Andrew Edwards) and the team for giving me such a competitive car, the boys have been working so hard so I'm happy to get the job done. I honestly gave it my all, so I'm pumped.

Really looking forward to tomorrow and seeing what Thomas and I can do, fingers crossed we finish on a high and bring the R&J Batteries Supercar home in style."
